Comedy legend Jim Carrey was honoured at the César Awards in Paris on 26th February 2026. Best known for films like 'The Mask' and 'The Truman Show,' Carrey walked the red carpet in a sharp tuxedo with a button-up shirt and bow tie. His hair was neatly parted down the middle, and he appeared clean-shaven, a noticeable change from the beard and stubble he had worn in recent years.
This marked his first public appearance of the year, and his transformed look quickly caught attention online. While many fans celebrated his honourary award, others were surprised by how different he appeared. Jim Carrey's Acceptance Speech
Jim Carrey delivered part of his acceptance speech in French during the ceremony. He reflected on his family history, sharing that his ancestor, Marc François Carrey, left Saint-Malo, France, for Canada around 300 years ago. He described the moment as a full-circle experience for his family and suggested that perhaps this was what they had been searching for all along.
