Netflix Confirms 'Bridgerton' Season 4 Dates as Benedict & Sophie's Love Story Takes Center Stage

After months of speculation and teaser campaigns, Netflix has finally announced the premiere schedule for 'Bridgerton' Season 4, offering fans a fresh glimpse into Benedict Bridgerton's romantic journey with Sophie. As the adored Regency romance series returns in early 2026, the upcoming season, which centers on a masquerade ball and a mysterious "Lady in Silver," promises to have increased drama, emotional stakes, and breathtaking sights.

Premiere Dates and Release Strategy

The first four episodes of 'Bridgerton' Season 4 will be released on 29th January, 2026, while the remaining four will be released on 26th February, 2026, according to Netflix's latest update. The goal of this split-release strategy is to maintain viewer interest by mimicking the advertising timing of previous seasons. With the phrase, "One thing is clear, gentle readers, a masquerade is like no other occasion," the first official poster was released ahead of the date revelation.

It featured the mysterious "Lady in Silver," and hinted that the masked ball would play a major role in the romance and intrigue of the season. Earlier teaser clips had already offered fans a first look at Benedict and Sophie's eventual meeting, building anticipation for how their chemistry will unfold.

The Focus on Benedict & Sophie's Love Story

Luke Thompson will reprise his role as Benedict Bridgerton in Season 4, and Yerin Ha will play Sophie Baek, also known as the "Lady in Silver." Benedict's long-awaited love arc, in which he first meets Sophie—in disguise—at his mother Violet Bridgerton's masquerade party, is based on the plot of Julia Quinn's novel 'An Offer from a Gentleman.'

Sophie's character is not a passive romantic interest; she establishes a delicate, tense relationship with Benedict while navigating class limitations, secret identities, and her own goals. Alongside the leads, new faces have joined this season, which includes, Katie Leung as Lady Araminta Gun, Michelle Mao as Rosamund Li, and Isabella Wei as Posy Li. 

With filming wrapped by mid 2025, the series is now in post-production. The showrunner, Jess Brownell, says Sophie helps shake Benedict out of his comfort zone, bringing fresh tension and stakes into his story.
