Sophie Turner, best known for outsmarting power-hungry men in 'Game of Thrones,' takes on a new kind of enemy in the psychological thriller 'Trust.' The film, directed by Carlson Young (The Blazing World), follows the dangerous unravelling of a Hollywood star whose private life spirals into chaos.
Turner stars as Lauren Lane, a world-famous actress whose affair with TV creator Peter (Billy Campbell) becomes public knowledge. Once her secrets are exposed, Lauren finds herself cornered by Peter's manipulation and demands. Refusing to bend to his control, she retreats to a secluded home in search of peace, unaware that Peter and his associates have sinister plans to silence her.
What Does 'Trust' Follow?
An extended preview of the film reveals Lauren attempting to find calm after the scandal when Peter calls in a fit of rage, pressuring her to make a life-altering decision. Lauren pushes back, asserting her independence. Enraged by her defiance, Peter turns to his enforcer, Kroft (Peter Mensah), to eliminate her as a threat. As Lauren sleeps soundly beside her loyal dog, danger creeps closer in the form of intruders preparing to break into the isolated home.

The tense survival story of 'Trust' features a strong supporting cast, including Rhys Coiro (Entourage), Forrest Goodluck (Pet Sematary: Bloodlines), Gianni Paolo (Ma), Katey Sagal (Married… with Children), and Renata Vaca (City of Dreams). Backed by Paramount's Republic Pictures and Twisted Pictures—the studio behind the 'Saw' franchise—'Trust' promises the same gritty, high-stakes tension fans have come to expect.
Beyond 'Trust,' Turner will also appear in Natasha Kermani's upcoming horror drama 'The Dreadful,' reuniting with her 'Game of Thrones' co-star Kit Harington. Set during the War of the Roses, the project explores how a young woman’s life is upended when someone from her past reappears. A release date has yet to be announced.
'Trust' is now available to buy or rent on digital platforms from 19th September.
