The gritty oil-rig drama Landman, starring Taylor Sheridan, is returning for a second season. Paramount+ recently unveiled a 15-second teaser for Landman Season 2, offering a quick yet impactful glimpse ahead of its 16th November premiere. Instead than giving away narrative points, the brief video relies on the announcement date, Billy Bob Thornton's steely demeanor, and arresting images of oil fields in West Texas.
Co-created by Sheridan and Christian Wallace, Landman follows Billy Bob Thornton's character, the sardonic landman Tommy Norris, as he makes his way through the morally complex world of oil transactions, roughnecks, and wildcat billionaires. With 35 million viewers worldwide at launch, the first season became the most-watched Paramount+ Original at the time of its highly acclaimed November 2024 broadcast. Thornton was nominated for a Golden Globe for his tough portrayal.

Social media was immediately overrun by fans who were celebrating the return of the programe and making predictions about Sam Elliott's new role. West Texas Oil Drama Returns with Star-Studded Cast

Demi Moore, Ali Larter, Andy García, Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, Paulina Chávez, Kayla Wallace, Mark Collie, James Jordan, and Colm Feore are all reprising their roles. Oscar contender Sam Elliott, who brings his recognizable, worn-out gravity to West Texas as a series regular, adds to the drama.
