Tom Holland, who is well-known throughout the world for his portrayal of Spider-Man and his energetic on-screen character, has recently opened up about a very personal achievement. He recently marked over three years without alcohol. In his own words, quitting wasn't about stopping; it was about becoming someone new. His life, his career, and his self-perception have already been altered by his voyage.

Holland said, "It feels amazing. A little bit like a brand‑new identity, almost." This isn't mere hyperbole—he's reflecting on how much has changed since he stopped drinking. He admitted that he often over‑drank in the past. Fridays would mean letting go, partying, drinking enough that he would ruin the next day. But over time, those late nights started to lose their appeal when faced with the heaviness they brought.
An eye‑opening moment came during the shoot of 'The Crowded Room' in May 2022, when he asked his younger brother to drive them both home from a party—he realized he was no longer comfortable with how alcohol made him act. He made a conscious choice: no rehab, but leaning on the people who mattered most—family, friends, colleagues—for accountability and support.
From Struggle to Purpose
For Holland, staying sober has evolved into more than just a personal triumph; it is influencing his thoughts and methods of operation. He has been concentrating his efforts on his non-alcoholic beer business, Bero, talking about innovation and ideas as he and his team grow day by day. He says he's really proud of the business and how it's developing—not just as a brand, but as part of his new identity.

Holland also reflected that quitting drinking didn't come out of some dramatic breaking point, but small everyday moments adding up: choosing not to hangover, choosing not to let a night erase the promise of the next morning. These choices, he implied, helped shape the person he is now—clearer, more intentional, more connected to what he believes matters.
What's Coming Next?
In terms of his work, Holland has no intention of slowing down—quite the contrary. 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day,' his fourth solo Spider-Man movie, is currently in production and is scheduled for release on 31st July, 2026. Destin Daniel Cretton is the director of the project, which includes newcomers Liza Colón-Zayas and Sadie Sink alongside returning cast members Zendaya and Jacob Batalon.

In addition, Holland will also star in Christopher Nolan's upcoming epic movie, 'The Odyssey,' that is scheduled for release in the summer of 2026 and stars Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Matt Damon, and others. With these big‑budget blockbusters ahead, plus his personal journey of sobriety, it seems Holland is stepping into both new roles and a stronger version of himself.
