Ed Sheeran Gives a NYC Subway Performance of ‘Eyes Closed’ With Mike Yung
When ‘America’s Got Talent’ alum Mike Yung put out a subway performance, he was joined by Ed Sheeran. In a viral clip on TikTok, the duo is seen singing ‘Eyes Closed’ in a New York subway after giving each other a warm hug. Yung tells Sheeran, “You’re the man.” Sheeran smiles ear to ear the entire time in the video. ‘Eyes Closed’ served as the lead single to ‘- (Subtract)’, his upcoming album. This will be the last installment in his decade-long mathematical album era. “This song is about losing someone, feeling like every time you go out and you expect to just bump into them, and every thing just reminds you of them and things you did together,” the singer wrote about the song on Instagram. “You sorta have to take yourself out of reality sometimes to numb the pain of loss, but certain things just bring you right back into it.”
Ariana Grande to Her Body-Shaming Trolls: “There Are Many Different Kinds of Beautiful”
Ariana Grande called out the body-shaming comments that she has been receiving lately. “I don’t do this often. I don’t like it, I’m not good at it,” she said in a TikTok. “But I just wanted to address your concerns about my body and talk a little bit about what it means to be a person with a body, and to be seen and to be paid such close attention to.” “I think we should be gentler and less comfortable commenting on people’s bodies — no matter what,” she added. “If you think you’re saying something good or well-intentioned, whatever it is. Healthy, unhealthy, big, small, this, that, sexy, not sexy, I don’t… We just shouldn’t. We should really work towards not doing that as much.”
Doja Cat Calls People With a Blue Checkmark on Twitter “Complete Losers”
Doja Cat was one of the many celebrities who lost their verification badge on Twitter after Elon Musk decided that only people who pay $8 for Twitter Blue will be verified. She recently responded to a fan, who noticed her missing checkmark and stated that “it’s over” for her. She replied saying “Only fans have blue ticks.” She wrote another tweet discussing the same issue. “Having a blue tick now means theres a higher chance that you’re a complete loser and that you’re desperate for validation from famous people,” she tweeted. Initially, Twitter’s blue check mark was given to companies, celebrities, government entities and journalists verified by the platform to avoid fake accounts impersonating public figures and any other confusion. However, when Elon Musk took over, people had to pay $8 a month for the tick and additional features that “offer subscribers a way to enhance and customize their Twitter experience.”
