Garchomp the Unrivalled Joins Late May Seven-Star Tera Raid in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will soon challenge trainers with a new Seven-Star Tera Raid featuring Garchomp the Unrivaled. Players will have two chances to face and capture this powerful level 100 Pokémon during the event.

Garchomp is a well-known Ground/Dragon type originally introduced in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. It evolves from Gible and Gabite, and is famous as the signature Pokémon of Cynthia, the Sinnoh region’s champion. Known for its impressive health and strong physical attacks, Garchomp uses moves like Earthquake and Outrage to dominate opponents in battle.

This upcoming raid follows the conclusion of the Metagross event. Garchomp will be available from the evening of May 22 through May 25, and a second opportunity to participate will occur from May 29 to June 1, with both events starting at 8 PM ET and ending at 7:59 PM ET.

In this event, it will possess the Ground Tera Type, and defeating it will grant players the exclusive Mightiest Mark as a reward.

Garchomp can appear with one of two abilities: Sand Veil, which increases evasion during sandstorms, or Rough Skin, which damages foes that make physical contact. Players can counter these abilities by changing weather conditions or using non-physical moves.

As a Ground type, Garchomp is vulnerable to Water, Grass, and Ice attacks. Trainers often find bulky Water-type Pokémon like Kyogre, Vaporeon, Quagsire, and Rotom-Wash effective choices when building their teams for this raid.

With two opportunities to take on this formidable Pokémon, trainers have time to prepare their best strategies to claim victory over Garchomp the Unrivaled.
