The Russo Brothers have officially wrapped the filming for Marvel Studios' much‑anticipated 'Avengers: Doomsday.' Following around five months of filming in several locales, such as Pinewood Studios in Bahrain and England, the movie is now in full post-production mode. On 18th December, 2026, the film, which stars Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, will be released in theaters.

Filming Wrap & Behind the Scenes Moments
With Pinewood Studios acting as the main hub, filming for 'Avengers: Doomsday' got underway in late April 2025 under the working title Apple Pie 1. Additionally, the team travelled abroad, doing location shoots in Bahrain. The crew maintained strict secrecy while capturing lavish set pieces, ensemble character interactions, and large-scale action over the course of five months.
Reports state that not a single significant set photo that revealed the narrative was leaked, which is uncommon for a film of this size. After the wrap was formally confirmed in mid-September 2025, the movie now has completely turned its attention to post-production.

Cast, Release Details, and What's Ahead
As Victor Von Doom, often known as Doctor Doom, Robert Downey Jr. makes his MCU comeback in a very different character from his iconic Tony Stark/Iron Man persona. Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely wrote the script, while Joe and Anthony Russo are the directors.
Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Florence Pugh, Tom Hiddleston, and many other returning MCU favourites are among the large cast. Legacy X-Men performers like Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart are also featured.
