Lisa from BLACKPINK is set to be the focus of a new documentary, according to an announcement by Sony Music Vision. The upcoming film will follow the Thai-born star’s journey over the past year, highlighting her personal experiences and professional milestones during BLACKPINK’s hiatus.
The documentary is being directed by Sue Kim. While a title and release date have yet to be confirmed, the project aims to explore Lisa’s personal life and solo career, including the release of her album ‘Alter Ego’ and her debut solo performance at Coachella in April.
Sue Kim said she had tried to help Lisa understand how eager people were to see the side of her that exists off-stage. Kim explained that Lisa often described herself as a “normal girl from Thailand,” and that this humble self-view was actually very accurate. Kim described her as down-to-earth and sincere, despite being one of the most recognizable stars in the world. She also added that Lisa is working to grow creatively even within the high-profile space she already occupies.
The documentary is expected to offer exclusive access to Lisa and provide an in-depth look at her career and creative vision outside of her work with BLACKPINK. This will be her second documentary feature, following BLACKPINK’s 2020 Netflix release ‘Light Up the Sky’.

BLACKPINK Members Pursue Solo Projects as Group Gears Up for Comeback and World Tour
All four BLACKPINK members took the opportunity to explore solo ventures during the group’s break. Lisa, Jennie, and Rosé released full-length albums, while Jisoo put out an EP titled ‘Amortage’. Lisa also expanded her career into acting, making her debut as Mook in the third season of HBO’s ‘The White Lotus’.
The group is now preparing to return as a unit, launching their ‘Deadline’ world tour in July. The tour will cover South Korea, the United States, Europe, and the UK — including two shows at London’s Wembley Stadium — as well as newly announced stops across Asia.
Lisa shared in a recent interview that BLACKPINK is currently working on a new album. She shared that the group had recently been in the studio and that they were excited to reunite, return to the stage, and reconnect with their fans.
