Blake Lively Channels Iconic Rock And Roll Couple in ‘It Ends With Us’

In ‘It Ends with Us’, Lily Bloom’s wedding look might be a fleeting moment on screen, but Blake Lively and costume designer Eric Daman ensured that every detail was meticulously crafted to leave a lasting impression.

Although the wedding itself is not shown in the film, viewers catch a brief glimpse of Lily and Ryle (played by Justin Baldoni) in their wedding attire. This fleeting appearance is followed by a close-up of their wedding photo, leaving the impact of the look largely to the imagination.

Daman aimed to create a distinctive and vintage-inspired wedding ensemble for Lily, a vision sparked by Lively’s input. “We definitely wanted to lean into one-of-a-kind vintage vibes,” Daman explained. “I remember texting Blake, asking, ‘Wedding thoughts?’ And she replied, ‘Priscilla.'” This direction helped shape the character’s elegant wedding look, even though the scene is brief.

Beyond the wedding attire, Lively contributed her pieces to the film, adding a touch of her style to Lily’s wardrobe. Daman praised Lively’s impeccable taste, particularly her selection of jewellery. “Blake brought in her jewellery, her Lorraine Schwartz jewellery,” Daman shared. “I didn’t have the budget for that. She has incredible taste and incredible things.”

Lively’s contribution extended to bringing her jewellery box to the set, where she and Daman would sift through the pieces to select the perfect accessories for each scene and outfit. This collaboration allowed for a unique blend of personal style and cinematic fashion, enhancing the film’s visual appeal.
