Receiving the Olympic flag from Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and renowned gymnast Simone Biles, Cruise then secured the flag to the back of a motorcycle. He rode off into a pre-recorded video that showcased his journey across the country to Hollywood.

In a dramatic sequence, Cruise leapt from a plane, heading toward the iconic Hollywood sign. There, he creatively transformed the “O”s into Olympic rings before passing the flag to Olympic cyclist Kate Courtney.

Courtney then navigated through Los Angeles with assistance from Olympians Michael Johnson and Jagger Eaton, arriving at a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert on Venice Beach. The event also featured performances by Billie Eilish and Snoop Dogg, adding to the festive atmosphere.

Tom Cruise’s enthusiasm for the Olympics has been long-standing, highlighted by his role in carrying the Olympic torch in 2004 at Dodger Stadium. During his time in Paris, he attended various events, including swimming competitions, women’s gymnastics qualifications, and the women’s soccer gold medal match, where Team USA secured victory against Brazil. The closing ceremony featured Team USA flag bearers swimmer Katie Ledecky and rower Nick Mead, who reflected on their Olympic journey with immense pride and gratitude.
