Brad Pitt is making waves once more — this time with a bold new buzzcut that's sparking serious buzz among fans. The 61-year-old actor debuted the fresh look at the New York City premiere of his upcoming racing movie 'F1', and he’s finally sharing the reason behind the bold style change.
Speaking exclusively at the premiere, Brad Pitt explained that the haircut was for a new role he just wrapped — the transformation was part of stepping into character. On the red carpet, he paired the edgy buzzcut with a sharp navy blue double-breasted suit, a crisp white shirt, and a satin pocket square, proving his style remains as timeless as ever.

The Buzz Over Brad Pitt's Hairstyle
The haircut first grabbed attention when Pitt was seen driving through Los Angeles in May, followed by a cover feature in GQ’s summer issue showcasing the same look. But it wasn’t just his new hairstyle making headlines — Brad Pitt also made a rare red carpet appearance with his girlfriend, Ines de Ramon. The 32-year-old jewellery executive stunned in a sheer baby blue halter top and feathered skirt, accessorised with a classic white Chanel purse, as she supported Pitt at the premiere.
While promoting 'F1', Pitt opened up about the filming experience. He stars as Sonny Hayes, a former Formula 1 prodigy making an unexpected return to the racetrack nearly three decades after a career-ending accident. Reflecting on his time behind the wheel, Brad Pitt said some of his favourite memories came from racing on iconic tracks — including Silverstone in the U.K., Spa in Belgium, and Abu Dhabi — which he described as legendary locations that left a lasting impression.

Adjusting back to real-world driving after pushing the limits on professional tracks was another unique experience for the Oscar winner. He described an intense sense of calm while driving the race cars, hitting his marks with precision and feeling completely immersed in the moment — something he called indescribably powerful.
What is 'F1' About?
In 'F1', Pitt’s character Sonny Hayes is lured out of retirement by Ruben Cervantes, played by Javier Bardem, a former teammate and the owner of a struggling Formula 1 team on the brink of collapse. The film tracks Sonny’s dramatic comeback to the racing world, where he’s pushed to his limits in a fierce fight for redemption, legacy, and one last shot at greatness. Alongside Pitt and Bardem, the film features Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, and Samson Kayo, with Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton also serving as a producer.
'F1' races into theatres on 27th June, promising high-speed thrills, emotional depth, and a rare glimpse into the heart-pounding world of Formula 1 racing.
