Kehlani Reveals Discovery of Ex’s Infidelity With Multiple Women: “It’s Actually Diabolical”

The R&B singer Kehlani stopped by Hot 97 to discuss the process behind her latest studio album, ‘Crash’, leading to a revealing conversation about real-life events that have inspired Kehlani’s music. One of these events involved a past relationship where she discovered she was being cheated by her ex with multiple women.

“This is actually psychotic. It’s actually diabolical,” the Grammy-nominated artist said when host Nessa Diab asked about the craziest thing she’s ever caught someone doing in a relationship. Kehlani recalled finding a stack of Polaroids of all the women her ex had cheated on her with, hidden in his travel bag. “Diabolical. I wish I was lying. I really do,” she said. This shocking discovery happened when Kehlani was around 19 or 20 years old while travelling with her ex.

Reflecting on that time, Kehlani shared that she didn’t speak up about what she found because she wasn’t the confident person she is today. “I was definitely like, ‘Oh my God, terrifying…,’” she continued, explaining that she threw the photos away without confronting her ex. He never mentioned it, and she never said anything.

Although Kehlani left her cheating ex nameless, the time frame suggests it was around when she was linked to exes PartyNextDoor and Kyrie Irving in 2016. She also previously dated YG, with whom she went public in September 2019, though they broke up a few months later.

During the Hot 97 interview, Kehlani addressed her split from YG and was asked about his current relationship with on-again off-again girlfriend Saweetie. Laughing, she responded, “I’m a lesbian, so why would I care about any male exes?”

Kehlani added, “I also don’t care about what any of my exes are doing – male, female, anything. My goal is for everybody to be happy… And I love Saweetie! I think she’s so cute and so fine. We have a song together. We hang out. She’s cool. And they make so much sense. Like knowing them both, I’m like, you know what? I really like this. I’ve told him I like it. I literally am like, ‘I like this a lot. Y’all look cute together.”
