What's in 'The Drama' Trailer?

The trailer opens with Zendaya and Pattinson as Emma and Charlie during a pre-wedding photo session. Despite the cheerful setting, their uneasy chemistry suggests underlying problems that soon escalate as the story unfolds.

The two actors were spotted filming together in Andover, Massachusetts, in November 2024. Zendaya was also seen in Boston earlier that month alongside her real-life fiancé, Tom Holland, whose engagement to her was confirmed in January.

Pattinson previously spoke about working with Zendaya during an interview with Premiere magazine, published in March. He revealed that one scene had initially caused him significant stress because he had tried to read too deeply into its meaning. He said he called Zendaya the night before filming to share his concerns, and she helped him realise that the dialogue was meant to be taken at face value, without hidden interpretation.

'The Drama' is directed by Kristoffer Borgli, known for the 2023 film 'Dream Scenario' starring Nicolas Cage. The cast also includes Alana Haim, Mamoudou Athie, and Hailey Benton Gates.

A24's 'The Drama' arrives in theatres on 3rd April 2026.
