Madonna Hosts a Roller Disco in Central Park to Celebrate The Release of Her New Album

The previous night on 10th August in New York City, Madonna hosted a roller disco in honour of her new compilation album, ‘Finally Enough Love: 50 Number Ones’. The record was celebrated at DiscOasis Central Park in New York City, and will be released on 19th August. Madonna and Nile Rogers met at the event and talked about the time they spent composing 'Like A Virgin'. At the event, Questlove served as a DJ, playing Madonna tunes alongside disco classics all night long while fans skated and danced in Central Park. A new compilation honouring the singer's record 50 number-one hits on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart was first unveiled by Madonna back in May.

'The X Factor' Released an Extended Version of Harry Styles' Original Audition

The X Factor has shared the original, extended cut of Harry Styles' audition as a solo artist, a week after the show revealed how the boy band, 'One Direction' was put together. Although Styles' a cappella version of Stevie Wonder's ‘Isn't She Lovely’ was what was broadcast on television in 2010, Styles gave the judges his first performance of a Train song, 'Hey Soul Sister'. Styles' performance was interrupted mid-song by Simon Cowell, who instructed him to sing without a backing track.

The first teaser for Nicki Minaj's self-titled six-part documentary series, which will follow the rapper's quick ascent to fame in the 2010s, has been released. The opening line of the trailer, "You don't get a manual on how to be a famous rapper - you just learn it as you go," is just the first of many memorable quotes from Minaj. She continues by thinking back to her early days as a budding rapper in the mid-2000s: “I think the woman [I was] back then, she wasn’t afraid to fail. Female rappers weren’t really charting at the time… I’m fighting for the girls who never thought they could win.” We also discover that Minaj never sought out the limelight because of what she says about her early goals: “I never wanted to be mainstream – mainstream came to be.”
