Fifth Harmony could be gearing up for a reunion, though Camila Cabello is reportedly not involved. According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter citing unnamed insiders, the group is exploring plans to reunite as a four-piece in 2026. This would mark their return after going on indefinite hiatus in 2018, and ten years after Cabello’s departure in 2016 to pursue a solo career.
The potential reunion is expected to align with the 10th anniversary of the group’s second album, 7/27, which featured the chart-topping single ‘Work From Home’. Alongside a musical return, the members are also reportedly developing a documentary to chronicle their comeback and planning a tour that has yet to be officially announced.
Speculation about the group’s return has surfaced repeatedly over the years. In late 2023, Ally Brooke hinted in an interview with E! News that something might be in the works. Around the same time, Normani addressed the ongoing reunion buzz, saying she wasn’t aware of any concrete plans at the time but saw a future reunion as something that could be meaningful.
Reflecting on her time in the band, Normani admitted that some memories had been difficult to revisit, revealing that she had blocked out certain experiences as a way to protect herself emotionally. Still, she acknowledged that despite the challenges, the group shared significant accomplishments and meaningful moments.
Camila’s Departure and the Group’s Solo Journeys
Camila Cabello previously opened up about her exit from the group, explaining that she had felt isolated when she expressed interest in pursuing solo music while still being part of Fifth Harmony. She said that her curiosity and desire to grow creatively were not supported by the group, and eventually she was told she had to choose between going solo or staying. She believed that anyone exploring their individuality should not be discouraged from doing so.
Since the hiatus, all four remaining members of Fifth Harmony—Ally Brooke, Normani, Lauren Jauregui, and Dinah Jane—have embarked on solo careers. Normani released her long-awaited debut album ‘Dopamine’ in June 2023.
