Sabrina Carpenter is once again teaming up with Fortnite for a new in-game music experience. Following last month’s successful collaboration inspired by her Short n’ Sweet world tour, the pop star is returning for a special event titled ‘Dance With Sabrina’, launching on 30th May.
In her previous Fortnite appearance, Carpenter’s songs ‘Juno’ and ‘Nonsense’ were featured in Fortnite Festival Season 8, while ‘Please Please Please’ and ‘Taste’ were made available for purchase in the item shop. Players were also able to unlock various cosmetics inspired by the artist, including emotes, outfits, and items. Her presence led to spontaneous dance parties in the game, with some fans opting to avoid combat when wearing her in-game skin.
The new ‘Dance With Sabrina’ event invites players to join Carpenter onstage in Fortnite Festival, turning the rhythm-based game into a full-scale virtual dance party. Epic Games described the experience as a “sweet and cosy” performance, with players dancing along to tracks like Bed Chem and Espresso. As players match the rhythm, a heart meter fills up; those who top the leaderboard at the end of each song will have the opportunity to take on special roles such as dance leader, visual effects coordinator, or video artist.

Participants who consistently hit the beat throughout the event will earn “bragging rights” by appearing alongside Carpenter in a finale snapshot.
The event will kick off at 8 PM on 30th May and will run through 16th June. In addition to the event, Fortnite has added Carpenter’s song Bed Chem to the Festival playlist, along with a brand-new emote.
Epic Games’ Emily Levy said that Fortnite aims to provide artists with ways to connect with fans and create musical experiences that reflect their unique styles. She noted that during Carpenter’s first in-game appearance, there was an overwhelming number of players using her character skin and performing synchronized dances, which inspired the idea for this season’s dance party.
Carpenter previously told Rolling Stone that she found it exciting to offer fans different ways to engage with her music through interactive art forms. She explained that the Fortnite collaboration gave fans—especially those who couldn’t attend the tour—a chance to still feel part of the Short n’ Sweet world. Although she wasn’t a Fortnite player before the partnership, she mentioned that she hoped Dolly Parton would one day be added to the game. In response to comments about her in-game character model, Carpenter joked that despite being five feet tall in real life, her Fortnite avatar’s height was fitting since most characters in the game are around six-foot-three—“which,” she quipped, “is actually how tall I am in real life too.”
After finishing the European leg of her world tour earlier this year, Carpenter is scheduled to return to the UK this summer for two performances at London’s Hyde Park as part of the BST festival series.
