True-crime comedy fans, get ready — 'Only Murders in the Building' season 5 is set to return with its most star-packed cast and a fresh whodunit at the iconic Arconia.
The newly released trailer of 'Only Murders in the Building' teases Mabel (Selena Gomez), Charles (Steve Martin), and Oliver (Martin Short) back in action, this time investigating the mysterious death of the building’s beloved longtime doorman, Lester. His lifeless body was discovered sitting in a courtyard fountain during the season 4 finale. While police have ruled the incident an accident, the amateur sleuths are convinced there’s more to the story — especially given the Arconia’s infamous track record for suspicious deaths.
As their search for answers unfolds, Mabel and Oliver stumble upon a hidden network of wealth, power, and organised crime woven deep into New York City’s elite circles. Their sleuthing leads to dangerous twists, from receiving a severed, decomposed finger in the mail to awkwardly transporting a corpse via the Arconia’s elevator. Along the way, they discover three of the world’s richest individuals had been seen lingering at the crime scene, raising even more questions.

Season 5 of 'Only Murders in the Building' keeps the show’s signature blend of tension and comedy intact. Viewers can expect Charles’s notoriously bad acting, Oliver’s obsessive drive to create the perfect podcast, Mabel’s sharp wit and modern slang tutorials for her older friends — and, of course, the return of the infamous murder board. The plot takes the trio into the shadowy underbelly of New York and beyond, where connections emerge between billionaire power brokers, old-school mobsters, and the enigmatic residents of the Arconia.
