A long-awaited biopic about Janis Joplin is moving forward, with Shailene Woodley set to star as the legendary rock icon. Woodley, who will also serve as a producer alongside Tower Hill Entertainment, has secured $2.49 million in funding from the California Film Commission, as announced on 10th September.
